Ordinance #2010-07 Changing Panel Title

Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, April 5, 2010, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council will consider said ordinance for second reading and possible passage into law during a public hearing to begin at 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 in the Bryan Community Center, 100 Dayton Street.
Whereas, the Village has codified in Chapter 280 of the Village Ordinances the laws relating to the “Cable Advisory Panel”; and
Whereas, the Village acknowledges that the state of technology has continued to evolve and now makes that group of concerned volunteers better referred to as the “Community Access Panel”:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. Existing Chapter 280 of the Codified Ordinances created what is currently known as the Cable Advisory Panel. The title of the Chapter is hereby amended to read the “Community Access Panel”. Further, all references in Chapter 280 to the “Cable Advisory Panel” are hereby amended to read the “Community Access Panel”.
Section 2. This ordinance is hereby approved and shall be in full force at the earliest time permitted by law.
