Rec baseball registration begins

Registration is now open for the 2010 youth baseball season for both minor and major leagues. Boys and girls, ages 7–11, are eligible to participate in the minor league, as long as they will not have turned 12 by June 1. This is a coach-pitch league and no experience is necessary. Fees are $25 per child and include a team t-shirt and cap.

Boys and girls, ages 11–14, are eligible to participate in the major league as long as they will not have turned 15 by June 1. The fee is $45 per player and includes a team t-shirt, cap and baseball pants. This is a player-pitch league, and a new draft process will be used to form this year’s teams. A skills clinic will be scheduled and held prior to the pre-season draft.

Registration forms may be completed online at www.leaguelineup.com/ysoyouthbb/. Registration forms may also be downloaded and printed at the Web site, and mailed to 236 N. High Street. They may also be e-mailed to sherwt {at} woh.rr(.)com or jsherwood {at} woh.rr(.)com. No child will be turned away for inability to pay, as scholarships are available upon request. Those with an interest in volunteering or with any questions about the program in general may contact Tim or Jennifer Sherwood at 767-8702, or either of the e-mail addresses listed previously.
