Tickets are still available for the Little Art Theatre’s weekend-long celebration of the 2011 Academy Awards, which will culminate this year in a “Jeans ‘n Jammies: The Oscars at the Little Art” screening on Sunday, Feb. 27.
On Sunday, festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with catered pre-parties at either the Arthur Morgan House or the home of Richard Lapedes and Maureen Lynch, with food from the Meadowlark Restaurant and character acting by Flo Lorenz, Leon Holster and Walter Rhodes. Partygoers will proceed to the red carpet at the Little Art in time to watch the Oscars on the big screen with wine from a cash bar, popcorn and other treats. Prizes will be awarded for correctly predicting the winners in major categories.
Admission to the Sunday evening party is $50, of which $40 is a tax-deductible contribution to the nonprofit Little Art Theatre Association. Attendees are invited to come in their pajamas or wear jeans, according to personal comfort. Prizes will be awarded in the “Best Jammies” category, and those who wear pajamas to the Friday or Saturday night movies will receive a free popcorn. Reserve tickets by Wednesday, Feb. 23, online at http://www.littleart.com/events/oscars/rsvp, or by mailing a check to the theatre, 125 Xenia Avenue, with names of guests and an e-mail address.
