Wilma E. Rilling

Wilma E. Rilling of Huber Heights, formerly of Yellow Springs, died Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Ohio Masonic Home. She was 93.

Wilma was a retired nurse from Children’s Medical Center with 15 years of service, and a retired public health nurse after 18 years of service. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, OES Harvest Chapter #564, Dayton Alumni Chapter and The Cincinnati College of Nursing.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe O. Rilling, in 1996 and her sister Adelaide Connery. She is survived by her step-sons, Mark of Michigan, Kenneth of California and Thomas of Huber Heights; sister, Marianna Grimes of Vermont and brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Marjorie Grimes of Springfield; grandchildren Lea, Russell and Holly; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at Marker and Heller Funeral Home Huber Heights Chapel with Pastor John Wagner officiating. Interment will be held at Bearcreek Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon on Friday until service time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of choice in Wilma’s memory.
