Mary E. Morgan

The extended family and friends of Mary Elizabeth (Schneider) Morgan (Mrs. Ross L. Morgan) were saddened on Saturday, June 16, by the loss of their happy and inspiring physical contact with Mary.

Despite their loss, they remain aware of, and grateful for, her influence on their lives. Mary’s influence for good is far from over and will be perpetuated by all who knew her, loved her and, in turn, enjoyed her love.

Mary truly loved her community and all who inhabited it, and her love for the community continues, individually and collectively.

A private graveside service will be held by the family on Saturday, June 23. A memorial service welcoming a larger group will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Historial Society, P.O. Box 501, Yellow Springs, OH 45387, or to the organization of their preference. The Yellow Springs Historical Society is considering using such funds to facilitate annual homecoming celebrations in Yellow Springs, a topic of longtime interest to Mary.

Mary struggled with reduced health and strength throughout the last three-and-a-half years. She never complained or lost her good spirit. Many people supported her with inspiring love and kindness. Mary was pleased and her family will be grateful forever.

Likewise, Mary and her family were grateful to the medical and nursing staffs of many groups for their care of Mary. Of special note is Dr. Richard Darr, who served so long with great knowledge, skill and compassion. He was also unusually tolerant and accepting of the special interests of Mary’s family in her care.

Mary’s family has requested and is receiving the wise council and advice of their highly respected friend, Mr. Al Denman, at this time.

Mary’s family hopes that all members of their community can appreciate that they are admired and loved. At this time, the family repeats Mary’s prayer that they be of good cheer, seek wisdom, promote fellowship and love always.

A more conventional obituary will appear in next week’s Yellow Springs News.
