Yellow Springs schools closed because of snow

The Yellow Springs School Board decided this morning to close Village schools because of inclement weather. The Antioch School is also closed.

The Yellow Springs Community Children’s Center will open two hours late.

The National Weather Service states that the Yellow Springs area may have a total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches, with precipitation at 100%. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 31 degrees and dip down to about 15 tonight, with possible new snow accumulation of another 1 to 3 inches.

Temperatures are expected to drop over the weekend, with highs on Saturday in the mid-20s and a low of around 11. Wind chill values may be as low as zero.

Some snow, freezing rain, and sleet is expected on Sunday, so adjust your travel plans accordingly.
