Robert E. Coffey, of Yellow Springs, died peacefully on April 24. He was 66.

Robert was born on July 24, 1947, in Bellbrook, Ohio, and was a resident of Yellow Springs for the past 20 years. He was one of five children born to the late Clarence and Ruth (nee West) Coffey. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jonathan Coffey, brother Steven Coffey and sister Madonna (Coffey) Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Ginnifer Amey (Anthony) of Redbank, Tenn.; brother Richard Coffey of Warsaw, Ky.; sister Althea Parries (William II) of Xenia; grandchildren Trevor and Tyrone (JR) Nared and Nathan Coffey; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Robert E. Coffey will be held on Monday, May 5, at United AME Church in Xenia. Visitation will be from 10–11 a.m. The service will begin at 11 a.m., with Reverend Dr. John E. Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Garden in Xenia.
