Village Harmony to perform world music

Vermont-based teen world music singing ensemble Village Harmony will perform in Yellow Springs on Monday, Aug. 11, at 7:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church.

The 21 singers, aged 12–18, perform pieces ranging from American shape note and Appalachian songs to music from Corsica, Sardinia and Caucasus Georgia, South African dance songs and Renaissance music from Italy and France. Suggested donation at the door is $8 for adults and $5 for children.

The performance is organized by Yellow Springs’ World House Choir.
