Request For Bids Regarding Sutton Farm Improvements

Village Of Yellow Springs, Ohio

1.1 SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio until
10:00 a.m., (local time) on Monday, September 15th, 2014 at the Office of the Village
Manager, 100 Dayton Street, 2nd Floor, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387, and publicly
opened and read at that hour and place.
1.2 SCOPE OF WORK will consist of complete site prep for a 42’ wide x 160’ long
x 16’ high commercial storage building with concrete pad. Pad should include floor
drains and mechanic’s pit. The truss and columns should be either lumber or steel
and covered by at least 80,000 psi steel panels, with at least 6” of fiberglass insulation
throughout. (4) Commercial walk doors with panic hardware and (24) 10’ x 14’
overhead doors with openers. All zoning and building permits through Greene County.
Soffit overhangs on entire building, furnished with rain gutters and downspouts.
1.3 The Village of Yellow Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids in
accordance with the Contract Documents. The Village of Yellow Springs reserves
the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The Village of Yellow
Springs also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. Mandatory
pre-bid site meeting Friday, August 29th, 2014 at 9 a.m. at 1160 State Route
343, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387. For further information contact Jason

1.4 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10%
of the Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with
Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.
1.6 BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements
in Greene County and the Village of Yellow Springs as determined by the Ohio Bureau
of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
1.7.1 BIDS (2 complete sets) shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as
“VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS SUTTON FARM IMPROVEMENTS” and
MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope.

Detailed architectural drawings will be available for review on Monday, October 6, 2014

ADDENDUM #2

VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS SUTTON FARM IMPROVEMENTS

SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio until 1:00 p.m.
(local time) on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Office of the Village Manager, 100
Dayton Street, 2nd Floor, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387, and publicly opened and read
at that hour and place.

There will be no detailed architectural drawings available for review as the
Scope of Work is as follows:

mechanic’s pit. The truss and columns should be either lumber or steel and covered by
