John A. Eastman

John A. Eastman, 67, collapsed and died in his home on Sunday, Dec. 28.
John was a lifetime resident of Yellow Springs, and a 1970 Antioch College graduate. He expressed his love for this community in many roles, most recently as Miami Township Trustee, Friends Care Center board member and clerk of the Yellow Springs Friends Meeting. He also worked throughout the area as a practicing professional engineer. He was employed by LJB for 27 years as a senior environmental engineer.
John is preceded in death by his father, Richard P. Eastman. He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Eastman; his children Leila, Eric, Bryan and Robin; siblings Rachel, David and Roy; grandsons Joey, Pete, Harry, Alex and Teddy; his mother, Wilberta; and many other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Glen Helen Building. Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch College.
