Yellow Springs Youth Baseball, Inc. will hold its annual meeting on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Virginia Hamilton room at the library. The meeting will include election of board members for the coming year, fundraising and planning for the upcoming summer season. Parents and guardians of participants in the Major and Minor recreation leagues are encouraged to attend and are eligible to vote and serve as board members. Anyone interested in volunteering for the coming season is also encouraged to attend. Volunteer coaches, league coordinators, umpires and those willing to help with game supervision and field preparation are needed. Interested volunteers can also contact Tim Sherwood at 767-8702.

2015 season registrations are also now open for the Minor and Major Leagues and can be completed online here. Complete information can also be found on the website. Fee payment can be made with a credit card as part of the online registration process, although payment is not required to complete a registration. Parents are urged to complete registration as soon as possible, and all paid registrations received before May 15 will get a $10 discount. Scholarships are also available and can be requested in the online registration process. Those who need a hard copy registration form can contact Sherwood at the above number.

Boys and girls ages 7–11 interested in playing in the coach pitch Minor League should attend the 2015 Skills Assessment Clinic on Saturday, May, at 2 p.m. at Gaunt Park. Players should bring their ball glove. Registration must be completed before the clinic. Coaches will meet following the clinic to draft and organize teams. Play will begin just after school is out for the summer.
