Kids get kicks (and fire truck rides!) with Miami Township Fire-Rescue

Dorothy Paddison and Leroy Gano tried on some feather-weight fire gear as they checked out a fire engine and an ambulance at the Miami Township Firefighter’s Association fundraiser at the Village BP Friday evening. Paddison waited for her turn in the front seat of both the medic truck and the engine, where she learned how to turn on the sirens and lights.
The event was held during National Emergency Medical Services Week and included Chef Jason’s world-renowned chili dog.
MTFR Sergeant Chris Kitts belted Paddison safely into the front of the fire engine.
