Jane and Dave lived in Yellow Springs in the 1980s and were very active in the community. Jane was a multi-talented woman. She sang with a wonderful soprano voice with the Dayton Philharmonic Chorus; a business woman, she was a partner in No Common Scents and owned The Apple of My Eye bookstore. She was a loving mother, wife, interior designer (of their house on Southview Drive), den mother, artist, weaver and an excellent food artist. She had a smile that would brighten the room she was in. She rescued and sponsored a family from Cambodia that would have been killed by Pol Pot. And last, but not least, she was known for her Christmas Day parties.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Lofton and Elva Hawes; sister, Mary Alice; and son, “Johnny K” Kilbourne.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dave, of Burnet, Texas; daughter Canaan Caesar (Anthony), of Long Beach, Calif.; son Scott Norman (Donna), of Burnet; and grandchildren Jarrin Kilbourne-Guzman, Erin Norman, Molly Norman and Aeden Norman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Texas Home Health Hospice, 3520 Executive Center Dr., Suite 320, Austin, Texas 78731.
