The Village of YS will be painting parking spaces along Xenia Avenue this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 24, asphalt maintenance company PAR Striping will be marking spaces on the west side of Xenia Avenue — Tom’s Market, Kings Yard, etc. — and there will be no parking from Nipper’s Corner to Limestone Street from 7 a.m. to noon during this process.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, spaces will be marked on the east side of Xenia Avenue — Dino’s, Emporium, Senior Center, etc. — and parking will be off-limits from Corry Street to Limestone Street from 7 a.m. to noon.

The Village of YS Public Works explained in a letter to Xenia Avenue business owners this week: “We realize that the weekend is not the best time for this, but if [PAR Striping does not] do it this weekend, it may be a month to 6 weeks before they can return, and that puts us into the really busy fall season. We ask for your patience. Thank you!”
