Local painter Jennifer Rosengarten will show her work at the Springfield Museum of Art, starting with a reception this Saturday, April 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The show runs through Jan. 7, 2018.

The exhibit is Rosengarten’s first at the museum, and her last big exhibition was in 2013 at the Dayton Visual Arts Center. The Springfield exhibit, in the special exhibitions gallery, will feature large oil paintings that are inspired by the natural world, which measure up to six-by-three feet, along with monotypes and drawings.

Rosengarten has received growing praise for her work, which she describes as “a conversation between representation and abstraction.”

See the April 20 Yellow Springs News for a more detailed story on the exhibit.
