In the dead of winter, is there no better way to spend a night than with the warmth of a fire?

  • Aaron’s Lens – MLK March

Villagers marched through the streets of Yellow Springs to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr (photo by Aaron Zaremsky)

These images are of the many people in town who gathered to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

  • Aaron’s Lens – Snow

A snowy greeting to out of town travelers (photo by Aaron Zaremsky)

Some of these photos are from the big snow earlier this year which melted almost immediately and before I could put my post up. I thought they were too good to throw away, and wanted to put them up with some extra snow shots for this week. I ask my viewers to be forgiving if you notice some of the snowy scenes do not synch up with what you see outside.

The New Year's ball descends upon the crowd.

The New Year’s celebration this year was rowdy and joyful, with many friends from afar reuniting to share laughter, songs, and drinks for the night.

It would be inappropriate not to have some seasonal images this time around, so I decided to get some shots of the many “trimmings”, wreaths, and trees that adorn the streets this time of year. I wanted to stay on topic, so my apologies for not including images from other holidays.

  • Aaron’s Lens – Water

A tranquil pool of water provides reflections of the trees.

Water, the foundation for all life on Earth, is a dynamic and fluid substance, and creates some very interesting images for anyone who is curious enough to photograph something they take for granted every day.

  • Aaron’s Lens – A Dark Forest

A dark silhouette of an eerie, forested scene.

When the leaves have fallen and the sun is setting, the dark, spindly trees in the woods produce images that look like expressionist paintings.

  • Aaron’s Lens – Delicious Food

A tasty dish for the holiday season

These images are in honor of a fantastic holiday, in which all you are required to do is eat delicious food and gather with loved ones.
