    The 34th annual Art on the Lawn is taking place this Saturday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mills Lawn School. The annual event presented by Village Artisans is free to the public.

    Last Saturday’s annual Art on the Lawn represented the 34th year that artists both local and from around the region displayed their wares on the green grass of Mills Lawn School.

    The 33rd annual Art on the Lawn took place last Saturday, Aug. 13. Around 100 vendors participated, and the event drew solid crowds most of the day, despite late-afternoon rain.

    The first Village Artisans invitational art show 30 years ago wasn’t on a lawn, but in a yard — King’s Yard to be exact. “Art in the Yard” featured the work of about eight local artists, along with some folk music, and was more exhibition than art sale.
