    Yellow Springs High School students have been staying warm this winter shooting hoops. At left, senior Kody McDonald contributed to the 67–41 Bulldog win last Friday, Feb. 19, over Xenia Christian on Senior Night; on the right, Amber Dudgeon led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring against Troy Christian on Thursday, Feb. 18, but her team lost 42–25.

    Two YSHS swimmers qualified at the district meet at Miami University last Friday and Saturday to advance to the Div. II state meet, to be held this weekend in Canton. Taylor Ford, Erika Chick and Elizabeth Malone represented Yellow Springs and brought home two wins for the school.

    Yellow Springs High School senior Ashanta Robinson shot the 1,000th point of her basketball career during the home game against Belmont on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Robinson, flanked by her father Ron Robinson, left, and her coach Duncan Thomas, will be honored in a ceremony before the girls home game against Middletown Christian tonight, Thursday, Jan. 8.

    The Yellow Springs High School girls basketball team had just one game at home on Tuesday, Dec. 30, over the holiday break, which went to Belmont 54–50.

    Yellow Springs High School and McKinney School celebrated the success and hard work of their athletes at the winter sports awards ceremony last week on Thursday, Feb. 28. Members from the girls and boys basketball and swimming teams and the cheerleading squads were honored.
