  • Sea Dogs shine in final meet

    Last weekend, the Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam in the Miami Valley Swim Association Championships at Wilmington College to mark the end of their season. It was one more opportunity for the swimmers to shine in competition against hundreds of others.

  • Sea Dogs rise to the challenge

    Last week the Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam against two teams they had already met this season, the Wayne Wahoos on Tuesday, July 13, and the Green Valley Gators on Thursday, July 15, in Beavercreek. Both teams gave the Sea Dogs a challenge, but the local swimmers stepped up to the competition.

    The Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam strongly against the Forest Ridge Fighting Fish. It was easy to see the Sea Dog teamwork in the meet’s relay events; the Sea Dogs won 11 of the 16 that they swam.

  • ’Dogs welcomed by Wayne Wahoos

    The Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam at two away meets this past week. On June 29, the Sea Dogs held their own against the Wayne Wahoos. On July 1, the Sea Dogs traveled to the home of the Clinton County Barracudas.

  • Sea Dogs take on Oakwood

    The Yellow Springs Sea Dogs swam against the Oakwood Dolphins at the village’s Gaunt Park pool last Thursday, June 24. This home meet was a tough meet, but the Sea Dogs met the challenge with strong swimming and excellent sportsmanship.

    The Yellow Springs Sea Dogs had their first two meets last week. The team swam well and had plenty of fun.

  • Swim team registration soon

    Registration for the Sea Dogs swim team will be held Tuesday, June 1, 6–7:30 p.m. in the YSHS cafeteria. Students ages 4–18 are invited to register for the team.

  • Seadogs need donations for fundraiser yard sale

    The Yellow Springs Seadogs swim team will hold a yard sale fundraiser on Saturday, July 18 (rain date Sunday, July 19) 10 a.m.–4 p.m., at the Union Schoolhouse on Dayton Street. Organizers are in need of donations to make the fundraiser a success.

  • Seadogs meeting, sign up

    The Seadogs will hold their final organizational meeting before the swim season starts at the Yellow Springs Community Library, Tuesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. Registration for the swim team will be held Monday, June 1, between 6 and 7:30 p.m., at the Yellow Springs High School cafeteria.

  • Seadogs seek coaches, assistants for new season

    The Yellow Springs Seadogs are gearing up for another swimming season. Coaches and assistants are currently being sought for paid and volunteer positions. A Webmaster is also needed to set up a Seadog Web site.
