  • Meet the new owners of the Mills Park Hotel

    Mills Park employee Ryan Aubin and his husband, Alex Price, purchased the business and 1.6-acre property on April 27 for nearly $4.5 million from the Yellow Springs-based Hammond family. Jim Hammond, his wife, Libby, and daughter, Katie, have owned and operated the hotel since the family opened its doors in 2016.

    Mills Park Hotel was named "Ohio Hospitality Leadership Team of the Year" by the Ohio Hotel and Lodging Association in November.     The management and staff of The Mills Park Hotel in Yellow Springs were named “Ohio Hospitality Leadership Team of the Year” at a recent conference of the state’s hotel and lodging professional association.

    If all goes well, a tentative opening date for the new Mills Park Hotel could be sometime in late April, according to owner and builder Jim Hammond.

    The response to the downtown “fence gallery” has been so positive that organizers are trying to figure out how local artists can do a similar project every year.
