    The Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions is looking to tell stories of Yellow Springers on the front lines of climate action on its new Energy & Climate YouTube channel.

    Antioch College students will open the Yellow Springs Time Exchange officially on Friday, June 12, 1–4 p.m., in the McGregor Hall lobby.

  • Mills Park Hotel delayed until the fall

    Due to construction delays, the Mills Park Hotel will open in late 2015 instead of the summer as initially planned.     The Mills Park Hotel, originally slated to be open in June, will likely not open until October or November due to unforeseen delays with contractors, according to owner Jim Hammond.

  • Village Council finds unity on utility bill change


    Unified support around a proposed policy change to hold landlords responsible for their tenants’ utility debts emerged again at Village Council’s May 4 meeting, when Council voted 5–0 in favor of the change.

  • Talk municipal Internet at ‘Fiber Forum’


    Local organization Springs-Net, which is working toward bringing a municipal broadband network to Yellow Springs, will present a forum, “Building a Municipal Fiber Network in Yellow Springs,” on Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., at the Miami Valley Educational Computer Association.

  • Bicycle delivery service gears up


    Corey Elbin launched Yellow Springs Delivery Service this month and is already pedaling around town rescuing those without transportation, time or both to run their errand.

  • ‘Sew’ exciting: new youth sewing school to open

    14-year-old villager Lilly Sipe cuts fabric at the Mad Hatter Sewing Studio, which is set to open this month.

    The Mad Hatter Sewing Studio, a new sewing school for kids and teens, will open its doors to the village with an open house on Dec. 13.
