  • Ambulance billing rates increase

    The Greene County Miami Township Trustees unanimously approved a resolution Monday, May 4, to raise the billing rates for ambulance services.

  • 2 dead in shooting on Grinnell Road

    The Greene County Sheriff’s office is investigating a shooting on Grinnell Road, south of Yellow Springs, that left two people dead Wednesday morning, Feb. 12.

  • ‘Music in Friendship’— 31 years of Heartstrings

    Heartstrings, the all-women traditional musical ensemble that includes Goldstein, Burkholder, Carol Van Ausdal and Linda Scutt, will perform their annual holiday concert at the YS Arts Council on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

  • Suspect in Clark homicide indicted on 3 counts

    A grand jury has indicted area resident Zyrian Atha-Arnett, 26, on two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault in the stabbing death earlier this year of Yellow Springs resident Leonid “Lonya” Clark. Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer announced the indictments at a press conference Friday afternoon, Nov. 15, at the county courthouse in Xenia.

  • School board race— Turner, Ellison unopposed

    This fall’s race for the Yellow Springs School Board won’t be much of a race at all — both candidates are running unopposed for seats they already hold. Sylvia Ellison, 55, is running for her third term on the board. Turner, 45, is running for his first term for a seat he was appointed to fill last fall.

  • Fire house groundbreaking begins

    Groundbreaking will now move forward, with a public ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the station’s future site, 1001 Xenia Ave.
