The Lady Bulldogs basketball team suffered another tough loss against Jefferson, 45–35 on Monday, Feb. 1, and then lost to Middletown Christian, 40–31, on Thursday, Feb. 4.

The game against Jefferson was close through the first three quarters, with Yellow Springs leading 19–18 at the halftime. But the shallow team of Bulldogs ran out of gas in the fourth, scoring only five points to Jefferson’s 15. Maryah Martin scored 16 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs, along with six rebounds and four steals. Amber Dudgeon scored nine points, and Angela Allen scored 5.

The losing streak continued against Middletown. Yellow Springs scored five points in the first quarter and just two in the second quarter to get down 16–7 in the first half. The Lady Bulldogs found the basket in the second half, but it was too little too late. Each team scored 24 points in the second half. Martin led the team in scoring with 14 points and added six steals. Allen contributed 10 rebounds for the game.
