The perks of a village

The best advice I could give for living in a small town is to appreciate the little quirks. If your downtown is only 100 feet long, don’t expect to see something brand new everyday. You’ll see the same old benches, shops and people that you always see, but there’s a pleasantness about familiarity in a small town that you’ll never get in a big city.

Everyone in a small town has their favorite little nooks to hang out and their favorite aspects of the town. These are usually small like the little record bin outside the record shop, or the benches outside Tom’s. We don’t have Broadway and we don’t have Sunset Boulevard, but we’re alright just the same.
