Gary E. Clapsaddle

Gary E. Clapsaddle of Yellow Springs, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was 71.

Born in Kenton, Ohio, March 16, 1945, to Donald and Leona (Downs) Clapsaddle, Gary received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, served in the United States Army Reserve and later worked as a paper salesman for Nationwide Paper, retiring in 2000. 

He is survived by two children, Lieutenant Colonel Aaron (Dianne) Clapsaddle, of North Carolina, and Mrs. J. Gregory (Amy) Eddy, of Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Becky) Lease, of Ada, and Mrs. Earl (Anita) Woodruff, of Pataskala; and four grandchildren. There will be no public visitation or service. A private family service will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements by Conroy Funeral Home.
