Lucille Pao Mayne
Lucille E. Mayne, 68, of DeWitt, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 16, 2018.
She was born in Syracuse to the late Channing and Eleanor (Marks) Pao in 1949. She worked as a special education teacher in Phoenix Central School District and as a social worker in the Syracuse City School District for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Office for the Aging advisory council.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary A. Mayne. Her family includes daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Chad McLarney, of West Hartford, Conn.; daughter and future son-in-law, Dr. Julia Mayne, of Providence, R.I., and Dr. John DeMasi, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Carol Pao, of Reunion, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Peter Shanahan, of Sullivan, Maine; one grandson, William; two nieces, Erin and Melissa; one nephew, Matthew; and one great-nephew, Gabriel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 21, at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt, N.Y., with visitation the day prior at Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel.
