AN ORDINANCE MODIFYING SECTION 1042.01: FORGIVING FIRST DELAYED ELECTRIC SERVICE PAYMENT CHARGE EACH CALENDAR YEAR
ORDINANCE 2018-26, VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on
Monday, June 18, 2018, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council will give a second reading and pass the ordinances into law during a
public hearing on Monday, July 2, 2018. All readings will take place at the Bryan
Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
WHEREAS, The Village of Yellow Springs provides electric utilities to all resi-
dents and businesses eligible for said ser vices within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Yellow Springs is committed to a ser vice oriented,
non-punitive relationship with the community; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that a delayed electric ser vice payment may be
due to an oversight or other factors.
NOW, THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. A modification to Section 1042.01 Electric Ser vice Charges of the
Codified Ordinances of Yellow Springs, Ohio is hereby enacted to read as set forth
in Exhibit A*, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force at the earliest
date permitted by law.
