The Senior Center was recently awarded a grant from the Ohio Arts Council for its annual elder literary journal, Ripples. The grant will allow the Senior Center to provide writing workshops for all ages and to produce the sixth edition of the journal, which will be available in June of 2019.

Ripples is an annual publication that celebrates the elders of Yellow Springs through writing. In its five years of publication, the literary journal has featured fiction, poetry, essays and more, written both by and about village elders. Submissions are typically taken in spring ahead of a summer release.

More information about the upcoming writing workshops, which will be held in January of 2019, will be announced in the News in the coming months.
