Due to inclement weather, the 365 Project’s Blacks in Yellow Springs walking tour focused on the history of Black landownership in the village, originally scheduled for June 15, has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 22. The tour will depart from Olive Kettering Library at Antioch College at 1 p.m.

The tour will highlight some of the past individual Black landowners from the 19th and 20th centuries and will include a tour of the Omar Circle neighborhood. African Americans were welcome in Yellow Springs as residents and landowners, in contrast to some of the surrounding communities.

Tickets for the tour are $5 per person, with children 12 and under free. Middle and high school students will serve as guides. For more information, email the365projectys@gmail.com.
