Walk, talk pollinators with master gardeners

Master Gardeners Terese DeSimio and Macy Reynolds will lead a series of walks focusing on native pollinators this summer. The first walk will be held Sunday, June 16, beginning at the Women’s Park on Corry Street at 1:30 p.m.
Participants will learn to recognize the diverse group of bees responsible for pollinating most local fruits and vegetables, watch them as they work and learn how to attract them. The group will explore both the Women’s Park and the library gardens for the hardworking bees throughout the growing season, and find other species that help with pollination.
The short walks are appropriate for all ages and the bees in question won’t sting.
