Victor McElroy

Victor Lamont McElroy, age 33, of Dayton, Ohio, transitioned from this life on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, with his mother by his side. Victor (Boo) was born Aug. 21, 1987, to Dorothy Baxter Conyers and Lamont McElroy in Springfield, Ohio.

Victor truly enjoyed life to the fullest with friends and family and spending time with his mother and siblings. He would give anyone his last without even thinking about it. He was an avid Steelers and Ohio State fan. Victor loved people and loved to make them laugh. He adored his nieces and truly loved the Lord and his family.

Victor graduated from Yellow Springs High School in 2007.  While in high school, he participated in the Yellow Springs school football and track teams. He graduated from Dayton Job Corps, majoring in culinary art. His talent also included a very outstanding vocal ability for which he was asked to participate in many musical performances. His musical talent was enjoyed by many family and friends throughout the Yellow Springs community.

Victor leaves behind his mother, Dorothy Baxter Conyers, of Springfield; his father, Lamont McElroy, of Columbus, Ohio; his grandparents, Hattie and Victor Baxter; his siblings, Tatiana (Chris) Evans, Christopher Lee McElroy, Cinnabar Conyers and Michelle (Tony) Conyers; his nephews, Jiont’e and Antonio; his nieces, Michal’yah, Re’shondra, Michal’e, Laylani, Rhoyal, Christi’Ana and Jakayla; his uncles, Victor (April) Baxter, Kevin, Willie Jr., Conrad, Lamon McElroy and Aaron; his aunts, Helena Baxter, Regina Baxter Djigal, Carolyn, Donna, Mary, Shonda Sneed, Tony, Tina, Mik, Djibril, Ahmad, Khadir and Atiyah Zion, JT and Jaydon.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Michael M. Conyers; his great-grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Sneed, David and Helen Baxter and Willie and Rosie Bush; and his uncle, Richard Sneed.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Glen Forest Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Freeman Funeral Home.
