The Yellow
Springs News is a 150-year-old weekly newspaper that reaches over
1900 households in Yellow Springs, Greene County, Miami Valley, and points
beyond. The success of the paper is due to its strategy of maintaining
an exclusively local focus by addressing the needs and issues of the community
which supports it. This is reflected in the fact that over 85% of
Yellow Springs households receive the paper.

Submitting
a "print-ready" display ad to the News
If
you or your designer wish to submit a print-ready ad, please check our
specifications and templates. The News can accept files in the
follwing formats: Adobe Acrobat (preferred; PDF, v4 or v5), Adobe InDesign
Files (v1.5 or v2), Adobe PageMaker v6.5, QuarkXPress v4.0, Adobe Photoshop
(JPEG, TIF), and Adobe Illustrator (v8 and lower). Click

Classified
ad rates

Weekly
Rate: $6, up to 20 words; additional words 10¢ each. A $1 discount
is given for subsequent insertions of the same ad with no changes.
Three-Week
Special: As of July 1, 2009, the News will no longer offer
the three-week special. The News will honor the rate for classifieds
placed before this date.
WEB
CLASSIFIEDS: Classified ads in the Yellow Springs News can
be included on the News Web site, ysnews.com, for an additional
$1 a week.
Billing
Charge: $1 charge each time an ad is billed. Classified ads are billed
one week after the first insertion if payment has not been made. Bills
are sent at two-week intervals thereafter.
Free
Ads: No charge for one insertion — up to 20 words — of found
ads, ride sharing ads, or free offers.
Placing
Your Ad: Phone 767-7373, stop in at the News office, or e-mail
your ad to classifieds@ysnews.com.
Copy
Deadline is 5 p.m., Monday. No exceptions.

Display
ads are available on the www.ysnews.com at a cost of $60 for a three-month
period. Ads are 2 inches wide by 2.5 inches long. Ad copy may be changed
no more than once a month, with one week's notice. Ad placement is at
the discretion of the News staff and will be on a first come,

Yellow Springs News Directory of businesses and professionals
has been a low-cost way to advertise for over 30 years. Listings appear
in the newspaper as well as on the Web, which offers an active link to
either your Web site or e-mail.

• A Bold three-line listing is $51.75* for three
months
• 1 to 2 extra lines are $15
• A
listing may be included under more than one heading for an extra charge.
