AGRARIA JOURNAL 2022 45 MAUREEN FELLINGER Maureen Fellinger joined Agraria in March 2022 as the new Education Administrator and is also a member of the Media Team. She attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati and received her bachelor's degree in Fine Art with a focus on illustration and drawing. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Stephen H. Wilder Traveling Scholarship that allowed her to spend time in India, which inspired future artwork about interconnectedness. Maureen runs a small business under the pseudonym “little sore thumb” where she sells original artwork, prints, and pottery. Most of her work experience has been in the field of developmental disabilities, serving and assisting adults in Hamilton, Warren, and Clark counties. She is passionate about inclusion and accessibility and hopes to contribute to making Agraria more accessible, as people with disabilities often face barriers when it comes to accessing green spaces. Maureen has spent the last few years exploring the fascinating world of fungi. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she was inspired to spend several days a week in the woods, observing different mushrooms. What started as a hobby to pass time has ended up being a passion for Maureen that she is excited to continue exploring. “There is a feeling of hope when you are on the land or when you are talking with co-workers here,” Maureen said. “I am so thrilled to learn and grow every single day at Agraria.” When Maureen is not drawing or out mushroom hunting, she enjoys watching low-budget horror films, playing Scrabble, and singing offkey with her fiance on their basement karaoke setup. MIRANDA HAMM Miranda is a first-year student at Antioch College and has joined Agraria for her summer co-op. A native of Centerville, Ohio, she has not yet decided on a major, but says, “my passions for philosophy, art and writing are guiding my time and classes at school.” She is an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention and hopes to combine all of her passions to create both art and healing for the world. Miranda loves connecting with nature, animals, and her spirituality, and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her four- year-old daughter. “We become filled with smiles and curiosity as we discover the beauty around us,” she says. “ I am so grateful to be a part of this team and to have the opportunity to explore the wonders of Agraria.”
