Using the theme of the gourd, participants will consider common cultural elements and community resilience, as well as practice gourd gardening and create a work of gourd art in this three part series. September 18th–October 16th, 11 a.m.–2 p.m., Land Access Workshop Series, virtual and in- person. The Land Access Workshop series supports equitable land access for beginning growers, farmers, and land stewards. The series provides practical tools, information, and guidance in the planning process for finding and acquiring land, and prioritizes reducing barriers for farmers who face systematic discrimination. The first three events will be hybrid online and in-person at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association office, 41 Croswell Rd, Columbus OH. The fourth event will be in person only at Agraria. September 28th & October 1st, Westheimer Peace Symposium with Dr. Vandana Shiva. Join us at Wilmington College and Agraria for in-person presentations by Dr. Vandana Shiva. This year’s theme is Peace and the Environment and the symposium will focus on “Making Peace with the Environment” through regenerative agriculture and renewable energy for small farmers. October 22nd, Agraria Fall Festival Join the Agraria team for a fun-filled day on the farm. There will be activities for children and kids at heart. Stay tuned for details! November 4th–5th, Pathways to Regeneration: Critical Agrarianism, in-person at Wilmington College and virtual. This annual conference will cover critical agrarianism, a topic that examines the intersection of agrarian movements across the globe with social and ecological justice.
