I was active as a solo reader and performer of poetry for nearly 40 years, the last ten with the regular collaboration of Steven Elisha, a fine cellist. As “Motes Arte” we did pre- sentations at galleries, theaters, class- rooms and prisons in both Ohio and Kansas. Now, in retirement, I rarely perform publicly but still do writing projects during my annual retreat in Negril, Jamaica where I’ve hidden out from most Ohio winters since 1984.As I write this, I am preparing for my next Jamaican escape.
