I grew disillusioned with Antioch be- cause of the lack of response to the College’s needs I perceived on the part of the university board, and I re- fused to have anything to do with Mama Antioch, including attending reunions (although Nick continued to participate in work projects and reunions). However, when the uni- versity started threatening our ex- istence, I realigned and became a supporter of the College and inde- pendence, and have been proudly back in the fold ever since. (Nick says I can’t ever retire from practice because of our long-term pledge of financial commitment to our won- derful new Antioch!) We were at the very moving “handing over the keys” ceremony on the front lawn in September 2009 and we will be at the first graduation ceremony in June 2015.We’ve come a long way back, Antioch. Let us know if you’d like us to visit you when we’re in your area! We’re great house guests; Nick’s a great cook, and we won’t stay long. And we would welcome you to our beautiful city and home as long as we’re not traveling.
