I haven’t won any “victories for humanity.” I have just tried to be kind to children. Mostly, I am just grateful for the many opportunities I have had to do interesting work; learn from those who are much more knowledgeable and skilled; and work with caring, talented, fun people. ANTIOCH’S INFLUENCE I learned to live with ambigu- ity and become a risk taker.Antioch taught me to learn from absurdities and value my sense of humor. ANTIOCH, NOW AND FUTURE Attending the reunion, 2013, gave me hope for the future of the college. Being from Massachusetts, I had admired Mark Roosevelt’s work as a state legislator on an education reform bill more than 20 years ago. Massachusetts continues to reap benefits from this visionary reform. I am equally impressed by his vi- sion for Antioch’s future.
