I stay close to Sharon’s children. My younger step-daughter and her family lived near us, but unhappily for me, they moved two years ago from eastern New York to south- west Idaho. At Antioch (and here’s where I again mention Antioch) in 1963 I met Barbara Waite who was a class- mate.We had a happy, exciting time together before I went to Europe with A.E.A. Still we stayed in touch. In the mid 1970s, after Barbara had married and divorced Antiochian Tom Lloyd ’64, she and I spent a year together until we once more thought we had more difficulties than rewards. She married Dale Jaques and I married Sharon. Once more Barbara and I (now with our spouses) stayed in touch. Barbara Waite-Jaques was a widow when I let her know about Sharon’s death. Now Barbara and I have a happy, exciting, continuing and rewarding reunion. She lives in Maryland and I in NewYork, but we are together often at either place or elsewhere; we have Southwest Airlines credit cards since it’s only an hour fromAlbany to Baltimore. Barbara Waite, Antioch 1963. Four Stein brothers, three of them Antiochians. Background picture: same brothers, different dog. With Barbara Waite-Jaques, Vienna Opera, September 2014.
