This lat- ter course examines the use of sa- cred psychedelic plants by tribal and classical cultures, as well as by the modern scientists whom I call the “mind explorers.” Based on research that grew out of this course,my wife and I are co-authoring a book titled The Ecstasy of Christ: The Psychedelic Gospels of Christian Art , which will be published in fall 2016 by Inner Traditions. I am married to Julie Marlene Brown, the love of my life, and have two grown sons. My hobbies are hiking, movies and playing music with friends. In 2009, I put out a CD of original songs titled “You Are Thunder.”
