We have so much fun together! Story times have included celebrating Native American Heritage Month with the music of Navajo musician, Sharon Burch , spinning dreidels for Hanukkah, and decorating Christmas trees. We learned about soccer from coaches and trainers visiting from Hawaii. Yoga baby time had us, young and old alike, trying various poses. Lunar New Year included learing about the Year of the Dragon, which ended with a beautifully crafted felt rhyme cre- ated by Janet Ogden . Tuesday after school programs for 6–12 year olds continue to be well-attended. We hosted dog trainer extraordinaire Neil Silvert and his dog, Ace . We watched “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and made paper plate kinaras for Kwanzaa. made extra special when a parent shared a Swahili song with us about the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. We honor The Season of Non- Violence (January 30–April 14) by creating group posters. For the Lunar New Year, we invited Josh Wong to share how he celebrates the event. We decorated a paper dragon and ate special treats. Nancy Lineburgh also shared a fun streamer activity. Febru- ary wrapped up with crafting beautiful stained glass hearts and folding origami. We also held group yoga, led by Marie Hertzler . We are grateful to community members who have shared their talents and time!
