O U R S P O N S O R S ties here and met people who have become incredibly impor tant to me. I want to thank Phil, Stepha- nie, Tracy, Mrs. Hyatt, Elly, Coach Jim and Coach Jesi for giving me a chance to play sports here, and for teaching me to get better in the pro- cess. To my volleyball and softball team — thank you for accepting me and showing me the joy of compet- ing with my best friends. I also want to thank Mrs. Corri- gan, Mrs. Lutz, Mrs. Maya, Mr. Neil and Mrs. Morrison for supporting me academically. Most of all, I want to thank my Mom and my friends for making me feel seen and heard during all the difficult moments. I know that because of you I will always be confident in who I really am, and that I can succeed anywhere I go. You have taught me that love will always overcome hate, and that is something I will always remember. Congratulations to the Class of 2024! I will always love and remember the moments we shared together. I know that we are all ready to begin this next chapter of our lives, and that our achievements will be limitless. TIERNAN LOY MAX LUGO PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Kira and Brian Lugo I have had some pretty decent memories at YSHS, I would give it a solid 7/10 rating of my experience, Shout-out to all my friends, family and to all the teachers that were chill. ELI MATTESON PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Eden and Kevin Matteson Growing up in Yellow Springs has always felt special to me. It has been a ver y suppor tive environment throughout my childhood. The community has so many great fami- lies and people, and there’s some standout individuals who have helped me in many different ways. Shout-out to my friends; I’ve known most of them since elemen- tary school. Because of this com- munity, we’ve grown up together and know everything about each other. It’ll be really strange and sad not seeing them every day in col- lege. I’ve played multiple sports in high school, but my main one has always been soccer. The soccer program here is really good. I met a lot of my friends in the rec league back when I was 5, and I still played with them in high school and on a club team. The schools are also a close com- munity, and the teachers and staff all care about us students. Lastly, of course, shout-out to my family for being the most important people in my life. SIOBHAN McCANN-STEWART PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Samantha Stewart and Craig McCann I would like to thank my mother, Samantha; my father, Craig; my grandma and grandpa; my aunt, Shannon; my uncle Christian; and my aunt Tina and uncle Kelly for all their love and support. I love you all very much. ELA McGEE As I prepare to say goodbye to Yellow Springs High School, I’m filled with bittersweet nostalgia. Moving from Colorado to Yellow Springs was a very significant tran- sition, but I was able to persevere. Being a varsity cheerleader all four years of high school, two of which were in Colorado, the experience has been very fulfilling. While my experience at Yellow Springs High School has been full of amazing memories on and of f the sidelines, my experience at YS was lukewarm… which means I just haven’t peaked yet! The bonds I have made and the lessons I have learned, I will cherish for a lifetime. And I will never forget the teach- ers who always encouraged me to do better, and stuck their necks out for me as needed, such as Ms. Lutz, Mrs. Madison, Mr. Lowr y Ms. Feola, Mr. Hatert, and so many more. I am eagerly looking forward to the next four years of my life at the University of Cincinnati for medical sonography. Ironic, because I never did anything in physics. (Sorry Mr. Lowry.) Packing away my cheer uniform and saying goodbye to familiar faces will remind me that every experience I endured was simply carving my path.
