CHARLES BALLARD (D) No Response ROBERT HACKETT * (R) No Response Ohio House District 73 Vote for 1 The 73rd District covers the western and northern areas of Greene County including the cities of Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Fairborn and Yellow Springs. Bath, Beavercreek,Miami and SugarcreekTownships are also in this district. I’m the President of the Fairborn Chamber of Commerce and past President of several community and professional organizations. I announce high school football and basketball. ANSWER #1: Ohio has one of the best voting systems in the country. It is easy to register and vote, weather by mail or in person. Every voter will receive a ballot request in the mail so they can chose to safelyvote fromhome. They can also chose to vote early in person. The election centers will follow all health department guidelines to keep the poleworkers and voters safe. I am a mother, an immigrant, and a community organizer who has been politically involved for nearly a decade. I am running to offer people honest and real representation. ANSWER #2: Our local police forces are under enormous strain due toyears of cutbacks to the Local Government Fund. I would push for legislation that removes the need for the police to be used on every call that is received. We should enlist the help of experienced social workers, traffic control, medical providers and the like to respond to calls related to these issues,and allow our police to deal with the criminal situations they are the best suited for. Ohio House District 74 Vote for 1 The 74th District covers the geographic area across the central and eastern areas of Greene County including the cities of Xenia, Jamestown, Spring Valley, Cedarville and Bowersville.The townships surrounding these municipalities are also included in this district. BILL DEAN (R) * No response MICHAEL JOHNSON (D) (Write-In) BIO: A Jamestown resident since January 1995, I graduated Greeneview High School Class of 1998.I earned my Applied Science Associates degree in Criminal Justice at Daymar College in Chillicothe,Ohio. I am proud father of three. ANSWER #1: To this day,all but North Dakota require people to register to vote. This just adds another hurdle to voting. States could take steps to automatically register people to vote,as Oregon did. One idea is to make voting compulsory. making voting compulsory is one of the few ideas that really is proven to increase voter turnout. US could make Election Day a national holiday so it doesn’t conflict with work responsibilities. ANSWER #2: The best policy for every community would simply be mandatory body cameras on every officer with every camera on beginning each shift with the option to turn off at the end of shift. Plain and simple. Police brutality accusations: Make every police brutality accusation be investigated by not only the law enforcement department supervisor but also by outside jurisdictions,county sheriff offices and state level investigators. ANSWER #2: Most police division has officers that needs better training in the environment we are in today. The names of write-in candidates will not appear on the ballot,but write-in votes for themwill be counted. Write-in votes for others will NOTbe counted.
