Street Fair this Saturday
The Yellow Springs
Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Street Fair Saturday, Oct. 11, 9
a.m.–5 p.m., in downtown Yellow Springs. The fair takes place rain
or shine.
Now in its fourth
decade, the Street Fair will feature more than 185 vendor booths, almost
half of which will be occupied by Yellow Springs residents, businesses
or organizations. Seventy-five percent of the vendors have participated
in previous Street Fairs.
Several downtown
streets will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. These are Xenia
from Limestone to Corry; Walnut from Limestone to Elm; Glen from Xenia
to Kieth’s Alley; all of Short; and Corry from Xenia to Dayton.
The post office will be open, but it will not be accessible by car.
Live music begins
at 1 p.m. at Mills Lawn with the Yellow Springs Apostolic Church; the
Todd Mullins Group will play from 2:30 to 3:45, followed by Sound Investment
from 3:45 to 4:45.
