We had a great run this year.” Against Brookville, Megan Burrick led the Bulldog offense, assisting the first 2 goals by Erin Silvert-Noftle and Stephanie Goode and then putting in one of her own. Against Northwestern, which is ranked eighth in the Division II state poll and seeded first in the Dayton 2 district, the Lady ’Dogs had trouble cutting through the cold rain, letting 2 goals slip by in the first half and another 4 in the second. Goalie Sarah Morrison had 8 saves. Suzel closed out the first-half scoring when he put back Abeo Miller’s blocked shot attempt. Early in the second half, Zeke Hardman scored on an assist from Silvert. With 28 minutes left in the game, Carey Dixon assisted on a goal by Kevin Carr. Brock GunderKline made it 8–0, followed by a goal from Kevin Sikes-Gilbert and assisted by Todd Sheets. Early in the second half, Greeneview increased its lead to 2–0 on a nice shot from the right side. With 15 minutes remaining, James Butler lofted a pass from the right side of the penalty box to Brock GunderKline, who headed the ball into the Rams’ nets to bring the ’Dogs within 1.
