Approving the Final Subdivision Plat for the Center for Business and Education and Declaring an Emergency

ORDINANCE NO. 2014-15, VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, June 2, 2014, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council will consider said ordinance for a second reading and a public hearing to begin at 7:10 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2014, in the Bryan Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
WHEREAS, Community Resources (aka, Education Village) has proposed a subdivision plan for the property known as the Center for Business and Education, and
WHEREAS, said plan has been reviewed in both preliminary and final form and approved by the Yellow Springs Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, approval by Village Council is required for work on the subject site to go forward,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT,
Section 1. Having reviewed the scrutiny and actions of Planning Commission, this Council hereby approves the final plat here attached as “Exhibit A” presented for their review.
Section 2. This final plat is approved subject to the conditions, as contained in the Planning Commission minutes of May 27, 2014, as directed by Planning Commission as a part of their oversight.
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary to preserve the public interest and for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Village, such emergency being the need for economic development to sustain the income tax base, wherefore, this ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its adoption by Council.
