Sidewalk Rehabilitation — Mills Lawn
1.1 SEALED BIDS will be received by the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio until 10:30 a.m., (local time) on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Office of the Village Manager, 100 Dayton Street, 2nd Floor, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387, and publicly opened and read at that hour and place.
1.2 SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this contract shall consist of (30) 5 X 5 sections needing to be replaced and (1) 5 X 10 section -along the Westside of S. Walnut Street from W. Limestone Street to Elm Street; AND (23) 5 X 5 sections to be replaced and (2) 5 X 10 sections – along the Southside of Elm Street from S. Walnut Street to Phillips Street. Concrete installation at 4” thick and 5’ X 5’ sections. All concrete work shall be with 4500 psi, air-entrained to 6%, and a maximum water cement ratio of 0.45.
1.3 The Village of Yellow Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Village of Yellow Springs reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The Village of Yellow Springs also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. For further information and complete copies of the RFB packet, contact Jason Hamby at (937) 767-6633.
1.4 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10% of the Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.
1.5 BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Greene County and the Village of Yellow Springs as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
1.6 Two (2) complete sets of BID documents shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified “VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS Sidewalk Rehabilitation – Mills Lawn” and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope.
1.7 All work to be completed and materials removed by October 4th, 2014.
