AN ORDINANCE ADDING NEW SECTION 1040.12 TO ARTICLE FOUR: PUBLIC UTILITIES ESTABLISHING A CONTINUITY OF SERVICE CLAUSE FOR VILLAGE UTILITIES
ORDINANCE 2018-06, VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on
Monday, March 19, 2018, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council gave a second reading and passed into law during a public hearing on
Monday, April 2, 2018, in the Br yan Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
WHEREAS, The Village of Yellow Springs provides utilities which includes
electric, water, sewer and garbage ser vices to all residents and businesses eligible
for said ser vices within the Village; and
WHEREAS, The Village of Yellow Springs is committed to providing continu-
ous, reliable utility ser vices; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that at times there may be unpreventable natural
occurrences or accidents which may interrupt any of our utility ser vices,.
NOW, THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW
SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. A new Section 1040.12 Establishing a Continuity if Ser vice Clause
for the Village of Yellow Springs of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of
Yellow Springs, Ohio is hereby enacted to read as set forth in Exhibit A*, which
us attached hereto and incorporated herein..
Section 2. The ordinance shall take in effect and be in full force at the earliest
date permitted by law
