REPEALING SECTION 452.13 OF THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO AND ENACTING NEW SECTION 452.13 “LIMITED PARKING AREAS”
ORDINANCE 2019-04, VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs
on Monday, Februar y 18, 2019, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council will give a second reading and pass into law during a public hearing on
Monday, March 4, 2019, in the Br yan Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
WHEREAS, the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs currently
delineate specific parking areas throughout the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Codified Ordinances do not address parking at the gratis
electric car charging stations at the John Br yan Community Center; and
WHEREAS, these electric car charging stations are supported by the Village,
as a whole, to encourage the use of electric vehicles by out of town visitors; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to limit the number of hours a vehicle may
charge at said stations to those charging vehicles for an excessive number of hours;
NOW, THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. Chapter 452.13 entitled “Limited Parking Areas” of the Codified
Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio is hereby repealed.
Section 2. A new Chapter 452.13 entitled “Limited Parking Areas” of the
Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio be enacted to read
as set forth in Exhibit A* with new language underlined and in bold and deleted
language in strikethrough.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force at the earliest
date permitted by law.
