Businesses — cancelations

Below is a list of businesses and events which have closed, been canceled or rescheduled. Please check our website or with the various institutions for updates.

For COVID-19 questions, call the Ohio Department of Health call center at 1-833-427-5634, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On Sunday, March 22, Governor DeWine ordered all “non-essential” businesses in the state to close by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 23. Businesses that will remain open include hospitals, grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, gas stations, funeral homes and hotels and motels. Restaurants may also remain open for carry-out and delivery service only.

Banks

  • U.S. Bank in downtown Yellow Springs will conduct business via drive-thru only until further notice. Any urgent business that cannot be completed via digital communication may be completed in the lobby by appointment only.
  • Wesbanco in Yellow Springs will also conduct business via drive-thru only, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday. The lobby is restricted to the general public, except by appointment.
  • YS Federal Credit Union continues to be open for its regular hours; visit yscu.org for updates.

Food and drink

These establishments are open for carry-out only:

  • Dino’s Cappuccinos (mornings)
  • Young’s Jersey Dairy


These establishments are open for both carry-out and delivery:

  • Brandeberry Winery
  • Calypso Grill and Smokehouse
  • Current Cuisine (lunchtime deliveries)
  • Sunrise Cafe
  • The Winds Cafe
  • YS Brewery

Gas

  • Marathon, Speedway and Nipper’s Corner remain open. 

Grocery

  • Tom’s Market remains open to the general public; patrons are asked to remain at least six feet away from one another at all times. In cooperation with the Senior Center, grocery delivery is now available to all villagers; call 937-767-5751 for details.
  • Dollar General remains open; the first shopping hour of each day is reserved for senior citizens.
  • Starflower Natural Foods remains open.

Other essential services

  • Benzer Pharmacy (Town Drug) remains open.
  • Clem & Thyme will present upcoming workshops, but remotely via Zoom; check their website for details at https://clemandthyme.com
  • Highlander Laundromat remains open.
  • Mills Park Hotel is closed until further notice.
  • The Springs Motel is closed through April.
  • Unfinished Creations will remain open, per the state’s closure exemption for businesses selling office supplies. Call 937-767-7173 for more information.
  • YS Hardware remains open due to the exemption, but with reduced hours, Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
