AMENDING SECTION 1440.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES PART FOURTEEN, TITLE FOUR, BUILDING AND HOUSING CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO AND ENACTING NEW APPENDIX A: “FEE SCHEDULE FOR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDING PERMITS”
ORDINANCE 2021-25, VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO
Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, August 16, 2021, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council will give a second reading to consider passage into law during a public hearing on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, via a virtual meeting.
WHEREAS, Section 1440.02 of the Codified Ordinances Part Fourteen, Title Four, Building and Housing Code of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio provides for “Permit Fees for Review Expenses” which has not been amended since enacted in 1976; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the Village to amend Section 1440.02 of the Village Codified Ordinances and adopt a new Appendix A entitled “Appendix: Fee Schedule” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio to specify all fees for residential and commercial building permits,
NOW, THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. Section 1440.02 of the Yellow Springs Codified Ordinances is amended as set forth below with new language underlined and bolded and deleted language in strikethrough.
1440.02 PERMIT FEES FOR REVIEW EXPENSES.
The Village Manager shall require the payment of a ten-dollar ($10.00) fee upon the filing of any applications plans required by the OBOA Residential Code of Ohio for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings Code or the Ohio Basic Building Code. This fee shall be used to defer the expenses of zoning review and Village services review. for any applicable fees as specified in Appendix A:
Fee Schedule for Residential and Commercial Building Permits, and remit such fees to the Finance Director.
Section 2. A new Appendix A* for Chapter 1440 entitled “Appendix A: Fee Schedule for Residential and Commercial Building Permits” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio is enacted to read with new language
underlined and bolded as set forth on Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force on the 30th day following passage.
